- Half Full is a Politecnico of turin’s workshop held by Wladimir Marnich and Fabio Guida in collaboration with Plug Creativity, a group of creative young people that through the mass media offers a research of best practices on communiation of social design. An unusual approach but is of fundamental importance in the interaction between design and the city.
A positive urban design action
The latest Half Full workshop created by Wladimir Marnich and Fabio Guida with students from the Politecnico di Torino (Italy) resulted in the concept “Condividi un palloncino. Condividi un’emozione” (Share a balloon. Share an emotion).
The action took place at Piazza Castello last friday 2nd of March, and consisted in giving, every person that enter the piazza, a balloon with a message that invited them to ‘share’ a smile, a hug, a dream, etc.
The balloons could not leave the designated area and every person that left the piazza had to share his/her balloon with a new person that would enter it.
The action was received with pleasant surprise and joy by passersby. People did not hesitate in taking part in this colourful and festive ambience.
