Brazil is already the country with largest number of deaths caused by swine influenza in the world. Bulletin released yesterday by the Ministry of Health shows that up to 23 days were 557 confirmed deaths from the disease. Secondly, are the United States, with 522 records of fatal cases.

With the updated numbers released yesterday, the death rate of the disease in Brazil is now 0.29. This indicator represents the 7th highest rate of mortality in a ranking of 16 countries.
