H Group Green Energy Markets is part of the Hildon Group, Green Energy Markets addresses a very specific trading niche: corporates, small businesses and individuals who want to buy top-quality carbon offset at competitive prices.

Brief
H Group Green Energy Markets wanted to create an online carbon calculator where corporates, small businesses and individuals could calculate and offset their carbon footprint by buying emission reduction certificates.

Solution
Working in collaboration with branding agency New England and Write Ltd we created a carbon calculator with the UX (user-experience) being an essential part of the projects success.

The carbon calculator is a multi-step process. This means the user will have to navigate several pages before the process is complete. To make this process usable we added a progress indicator that informs exactly at what stage of the calculation route the user is and how long there is left to go.

For those with limited time a ‘Fast Track’ option was added where by a user could purchase carbon offsets from three predetermined price options appropriate to their lifestyle.

The graphic look and feel was driven by the brand identity and inspired by the professional, polished interfaces that are available on the iPhone and Android apps.
