Posters for Display at GDAC - For this project, Guru Digital Arts College was looking for a set of 5 posters that featured design-related quotes to display on the walls at the school. I decided to explore a different style with each poster, while keeping all designs typography-based - the styles I chose were based on the message being expressed in each quote.
Photographic • I created letter forms out of different media and took individual photos of each to create this poster. Inspired by Sagmeister's style.
Handwritten • Old western-inspired lettering (always in style) was sketched by hand then converted to typefaces via Illustrator.
Minimalist • Clean and clear to bring attention to a strong quote.
Grunge • The quote itself dictated the design of this poster. I aimed to have the message not easily recognizable at first. (There's also some hidden messages elsewhere in the "swarm").
Illustrative • This design is based on a tutorial available on tutorial9.net, but taken further to become a complete poster design.
