2011, The Year of the Squid - Grok Magazine is a student magazine published by Curtin Student Guild (Curtin University, Western Australia).
The magazine underwent a complete design overhaul at the begging of 2011, And went on to win 'Best Student Magazine' at the 2011 ACUMA awards.
These are my covers. They express the quirky nature of the magazine, and were heavily influeced by fifties pin-up girls... and squid.
