A class assignment for which we each had to lay out four spreads of the fictional ‘green’ magazine Greenhouse. We were given no creative criteria, only these requirements: the design must include a front and back cover, a contents page, and at least four pages of the feature article. As far as the content goes, it was entirely up to us -- we could write it ourselves (no thanks), or copy published articles -- as long as it related to environmental topics.
I really enjoy this kind of project, because it allows you to take a few specific design principles and extend those out across a whole publication. Once I felt like I knew what those principles were, this magazine fell together nicely.
