GreenSpot Identity System

  • GreenSpot, inc.
    Identity system
  • it is rare you receive a a good client, let alone a client with an interesting idea. GreenSpot approached me about designing a new identity system for the company as they developed a new web service. This service would provide consumers with locations, reviews, and information about restaurants that serve food harvested by sustainable methods all via a map-like interface. The branding, however, would extend beyond a website or the service itself, but business cards, t-shirts, hats, stickers, and a travel publication.
  • The icon and logotype for GreenSpot, inc. In the orange type is the business tagline.
  • As part of the design, GreenSpot requested to incorporate of a push pin, similar to what you when people mark spots on a map. The pinhead is green and where it hits the "ground" a leaf is sprouting representing health and sustainability. A similar icon is to be utilized on a web-based map, marking clickable icons that represent restaurants GreenSpot promotes.

The typeface of Bodoni provides GreenSpot a clean, modern style that represents the market areas in which GreenSpot intends to launch its service (San Francisco, New York, Portland, Chicago, and other large metropolitan areas.). Additionally, the typeface also represents the core consumer range: foodies. Like the sleek, refined lines of the typeface these consumers have of a more select taste; they prefer establishments that are reputable; and they seek adventure on the pallet.
  • A product shot of the GreenSpot, inc. business card.
  • Product shot of the GreenSpot, inc. letterhead design. Maintaining a more organic look, and the curve of the pinhead, the top of the letterhead is arches between the two sections. Giving a strong splash of color, a large display of the logo mark, as well as contact information before moving into the blank negative space of the paper to be filled with business correspondence. The push pin icon is utilized again in the bottom right corner of the page.
