As part of the design, GreenSpot requested to incorporate of a push pin, similar to what you when people mark spots on a map. The pinhead is green and where it hits the "ground" a leaf is sprouting representing health and sustainability. A similar icon is to be utilized on a web-based map, marking clickable icons that represent restaurants GreenSpot promotes.
The typeface of Bodoni provides GreenSpot a clean, modern style that represents the market areas in which GreenSpot intends to launch its service (San Francisco, New York, Portland, Chicago, and other large metropolitan areas.). Additionally, the typeface also represents the core consumer range: foodies. Like the sleek, refined lines of the typeface these consumers have of a more select taste; they prefer establishments that are reputable; and they seek adventure on the pallet.
