  • Great Harbour Way
A brand designed to live on the edge
  • Design the identity for Wellington’s unique 72km continuous waterfront walkway. The Concept is based
on the 6 waterside Wellington districts. The Kowhaiwhai pattern depicts nature and is symbolic of the sea. Intergating this into the stone, gives the stone it’s own unique quartz pattern and forms the pathway
    around the waters edge.

The brand extension incorporates artefacts that can be found along the route. Familar and existing
textures that line the walkway are used to highlight areas and vantage points.

  • Wellington has one of the worlds finest harbours.                           The only NZ city to be built on Greywacke stone.
  • The 6 stones represent 6 waterfont suburbs.                               The Quartz pattern represents the Maori symbol for water
  • Familiar textures that line the 72km walkway
  • Vantage point sculptures where created and positioned on route
  • Wayfinder signage created from existing textures from around the area that they where positioned
