- Personal Identity Project. Since this was a student project, I decided to remain idealistic when making decisions rather than let practical issues like printing costs determine my design. This led to a project with vintage papers, sticker labels for the business cards, and other expenses, and as a result, it became more of a mock up than an identity system I could use. Despite this, I still think it was still a good exercise in identity.

- Congratulations to anyone who got the Robert Johnson reference above.

- Visual Metaphor. I had to choose from a list of words and create a visual metaphor based on it. I chose vote. When I made this I was tired of hearing people talk about how they were going to vote for so-and-so because of one thing they said, or what the other candidate said, or what they saw on a commercial or the news. Whether these things were true or not isn't my point. I just noticed a real lack of critical thinking and a lot of sensationalism on both sides during the last election. My goal was simply to remind people that governments have used emotional persuasion in the past and it hasn't worked out so well.
