Challenge: Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur was new to social media and Facebook, had no previous record or figures to establish a comparison with. While the competition has gained a starting point foothold and was quite aggressive in their campaigns as well.

Solution: test on a very small scale budget to tryout the effectiveness of Facebook. From our partnership with Pavilion, we were able to create a special package for School Holiday campaign, where Pavilion was promoting the superhero themes such as Superman, Batman, etc.

Summary: target the right audience on the right time and right event, use an event as a platform rather than launching a generic campaign. Do multiple A/B testing on the ads to determine which one is getting more clicks, but less revenue, as well as the opposite. We were able to leverage the traffic from social network from 1% to 4% and generate slight incremental revenue via direct brand booking.
