The book "186 million" shows a story after analyzing the 2007 World Press Photo by Akintunde Akinleye (used as Bookcover). The photo shown an explosion at an oil pipeline in Nigeria. This image contains the core of Nigeria's problem.
After the first oil was found in Nigeria, it's situation got more worse then befor. The book shows how a terrestrial paradise is slowly destroyed due to the growing oil industry and what consequences this has for the local population. And how the western world needs and keeps Nigera underdeveloped with reason that the oil price remains low.
