I shot this back in May of this year, on location at this recycling dump in west Savannah, Georgia. I had been looking for a collection like this to shoot, and when I saw my friend Meret's senior line I was amazed. She got a lot of attention at the annual SCAD Fashion Show as the finale on the runway so it was a real treat to work with her.
With a couple of assistants, Meret, the models and I braved the 95°+ heat of early Georgia summer and sweated it out for about two hours before we ran out of water and people (me) started getting delirious.
I would have loved to have been able to shoot longer, but these garments are knitted and so I wasn't the only one dying from the heat. In the end, we did get some great shots, and I'd love to do something like this again.
