Personal work created while I was looking for work in Portland, OR.
My wife Grace and I had given away or sold most everything we owned before moving out to Portland, and had never been out west before. We didn't have jobs, friends, or family that brought us out, just a sense of adventure. Before I left, my close friend and professor Joe Cory handed me a card that showed a man jumping across a crevice. Inside it simply read "Give them hell. I'm proud of you. Proverbs 3:5-6".
That note had profound meaning for me, and I made "Give Them Hell" my personal mantra as I looked for work and met folks in Portland.
