I was commissioned to do a gig poster for Blank Tape Music. There was a very short turn around time, so I quickly familiarized myself with the artists and thought about a way I could represent them visually.
After watching a video of Texture Like Sun, I was inspired by the lush acoustic sound. I wanted to incorporate nature into the design, I had the idea that the rugged mountainside would be a good reflection of the raw songwriting style I had heard. I tried to incorporate some organic texture throughout the artwork and the typography, the colours were inspired by the golden hue of the sun rising over the mountaintops.
