The city of Geneva, Switzerland holds an annual "Festival of Trees and Lights" at the end of December / beginning of January. I fell in love with one installation in particular at the 2006 festival. The artist (much respect to him) had molded a series of human forms out of wire, suspended said from electrical cables or positioned them on a bridge crossing the Rhône river or on surrounding rooftops, and then highlighted all with spotlights. The overall effect was magical. I was inspired to use a composite of these diaphanous creations for my New Year's card. I also used the photos for two book cover proposals. Read Less
