This was a logo design that I created for a made up pharmaceutical company.  Since this company was supposed to be medically influenced, I wanted to choose ideas that brought about an image of "life".  Firstly, I felt the color green was a powerful representation of life and health.  The egg (which I'm sure you could tell) also brings about an image of life, and new beginnings.  Genesis should be obvious though...I hope.
