Garage Sale: concept and wire drawings

- The American“garage sale” is strange obsessions to some, life-giving to others, still an annoyance to many of us when the cars are blocking our driveway or streets. Most of us have grown up with the traditional cardboard signs, poorly spaced letters and tables full of stuff that deep down we know should have been thrown away years ago.

- Proposed drawing of the interior of the Garage Sale Installation, including fencing, a full size garage, driveway, and sod.

- This is a wire drawing of a ceramic fish that someone remembered receiving as a gift, but was selling it at their garage sale. 16 x 22"

- African Mask #1&2, sold as a set. Each is approx 10 x 20"

- Silk elephant from India, wire image measures 16 x 20"

- This rocking chair was purchased with the entire chair strung together with string. No parts have been glued together. There is a big sign on the front that reads "Do Not Sit Here!" I think it will remain that way through the entire show. The wire chair is basically stronger than the real version.

- Big Wheel, wire drawing for "Garage Sale" Installation. 22 x 32"

- Even the cute things make it to the garage sale...in this case, a kitten money bank.

- 3" carved wooden duck...now 24" long wire piece.

- Old school desk, I'm at least old enough to remember sitting in these.

- 2 ft square bird feeder, bought 3 for $20.

- Childrens Drum set, 30 x 40"
