Gullwing: twinwindtower
Project carried out for the competition utopian skyscrapers eVolo 2010, the idea is to make viable the towers through a system of wind turbines are mounted on a circular guides, which are operated by the push of the wind which enveloped the surface of the facade.
The mechanical movement generated by the rotation is then converted through a system of alternator into electrical energy.
The shape of the towers is bound by the circular guide, the result is a cylinder, then generates the torsion two towers. Internally there are voids that give light to the residences and offices and formally characterize objects.
Sustainability combined with formal research are the guidelines of the project, we decided to include reference in Dubaj as the capital for new technologies.
