B-LIVE is a global concert series that embraces diverse artists in a collaborative showcase. It has been a collaboration of contemporary musical performances that are customized into regional audiences. It has taken place in over 25 countries. It is orchestrated and presented by BACARDI Rum and took place in Athens at the velodrome (Olympic complex) in June 2008 with guest group GROOVE ARMADA. On stage design, the core element was a huge hologram screen, were virtual dancers were mixed with live dancers in front of the audience.
Holography is a technique that allows the light scattered from an object to be recorded and later reconstructed so that it appears as if the object is in the same position relative to the recording medium as it was when recorded. The image changes as the position and orientation of the viewing system changes in exactly the same way as if the object were still present, thus making the recorded image (hologram) appear three dimentional.
