I have been working on many pieces for over a year, inspired by Neil Young's song: Heart of Gold.
I explored different media: art book, photography, performance, miniatures, collages...
Gold Digger is, in a way, just the continuation of my exploration.
I have been participating in the group show of small pieces for four years now and this time, I was less inspired by the small size. I have too many ideas that I want to work with big frames. That's why I painted those 24 pieces as if they were only one. To be frank, I love it just as one, much better that 24 independent pieces.
During the exhibition, I decided to put a big SOLD OUT sign, thinking it was going to be much better as one piece of art to be shown somewhere else!
