More than just a football club (First division when I worked for them) GFC is a group of high profile commercial activities. I was employed as the in-house Creative Director. It was my responsibility to develop the GFC brands and to promote the club and the associated businesses. I worked closely with staff in all areas of the club including; the chairman, the architect, the commercial/merchandising departments, and also the in-house media office, and external media and television.
I was in charge of designing all the printed collateral, and when the clubs expansion saw it open grand conference & banqueting facilities and themed bar and restaurants., one of my biggest accomplishments was to create brand identities and to be instrumental in the successful publicising of both new ventures. This took the form of brochure, website, radio and press advertising and direct marketing.
