I created this for my Typography I eLearning class at SCAD.
The assignment was to create playing cards based on an assigned typeface; Futura.  I chose to stay with the traditional poker suits & colors because I wanted to draw attention to the geometry of the typeface.  This is also why I decided to spell out the value in the middle of the card instead of just using numbers.
