Circle of Partners (COPS) Program
The University Career Center & The President's Promise Office invites organizations to develop high profile branding through the Circle of Partners program. The Center is able to continue offering services to students and alumni partly due to the help of members within this program. As a partner, organizations are offered sponsorship opportunities to increase visibility through comprehensive services aimed at meeting their diverse recruiting needs.
In 2009, William Jones revamped the program taking it from just 3 employer partners to 10. In three years, the program has raised more than $180,000 which helps to offset the operating budget for the Center.

Veteran's Career Services Day
The University of Maryland, in partnership with area universities and colleges, invited employers and military veterans to attend the inaugural State of Maryland Veterans' Career Services Day. The event included a catered lunch, career-related breakout sessions and a career & internship fair with employers interested in hiring military veterans, reservist and active duty military personnel who reside in the DC area.
Employer sponsors contributed $7,500 towards the event.

A new sponsorship option was made available to employers that wished to have extra exposure at this large-scale event.
$35,000 was raised through sponsorship of this event. This is in addition to the nearly $400,000 in revenue that is generated from the 15 fairs the Center sponsors each year.

Technology Grants:
Students at the University of Maryland pay a technology fee each year. Departments and student organizations are allowed to submit grant proposals to a review board comprised of faculty, staff and students.
Nearly $30,000 worth of successful grant proposals have been authored by William Jones along with the Manager of Information Systems within the Center. This funding has contributed to the purchase of new computers for the Resource Room, virtual interviewing technology for various conference rooms, A/V upgrades for presentation rooms and more.
