Re-imagining and expanding a button movement from my youth. Book It! was a Pizza Hut sponsored reading program that incentivized kids to read books with the promise of a personal pan pizza. All said and done I still read books and love pepperoni and black olive pizza. But do kids still care about reading books? Can the latest technology take care of reading and thinking altogether for them? Time will tell.
This project was an exciting conversation starter until it was kindly shut down by Yum Brands. They're the parent brand of Pizza Hut and said I was damaging their brand. Which is fair. When the celebrities started ordering buttons I had to make a blog to document it all
. After a heated conversation with my Dad over 6 glasses of boxed sangria on how to react to Yum Brands shutting the project down I've decided to move on. This project could be looked at as a failure since it's now extinct but I learned a lot and matured a bit in the process. Looking forward to a new project to fill the void of being 'The Fuck It Guy' at parties and shows.
