- From Pen Strokes to Key Strokes
This project is to express a passage of text with the use of typography in a formal and informal way and presented in an accordion fold. My whole product is only created in black and white which also mirrors the positive and negative world. With informal having a black background it gives a not so serious tone and space to play around with.
- The formal side of my product showcases the different personalities of the words that are in the passage. The words are emphasized in different ways to bring out their individual meanings. Only one font family is used throughout - Avant Garde Gothic. It has a big family and allows me to create different looks of portraying the type.
- As for the informal, I used quite a lot of a blurry double vision effective with words I wanna emphasize. Also, I used a lot of repetition and overlapping of words. Two different typefaces are used, Didot and Bebas Neue. Although these two typefaces have a small family and are serif and sans serif respectively. I was able to make use of them in different ways to create an effective informal layout.
