Identity for St. Petersburg Museum
Identity for Freud's Dream Museum, located in St. Petersburg, Russia. The museum celebrates Sigmund Freud's life and work, "The Interpretation of Dreams." The museum has only two rooms, one being a long passageway, built as an installation of dream.
The challenge behind this project was to visualize the experience of dreaming. The logo references how information is layered in the museum's installation - certain pieces move forward or fall behind. The letters R-S are overlayed behind a solid white F. The F brings us back to the dream experience as often times when we dream, we see everything perfectly clear. But when we wake, we lose the pieces, creating a void in our minds and memory.
Expansion pieces include business cards and a process book that details the creation of the logo and why I chose such an abstract project.
