Freedom Adventures

Freedom Adventures is a photography collection by Henley Ian based on shots taken from one remote location. It is an interesting project as all photos were taken on an iPhone 4S using the native Panorama feature.

Shot in a remote Southern Arusha area in Tanzania, the whole process was done using just an iPhone 4S. Most images were originally shot as panoramas and later cropped to half panoramas and other different sizes to frame different areas of interest.

This wasn't a photography intended trip, it only started with one shot that turned out wonderful, and it was officially a photographic trip since then. Took approximately 4 hours of the visit (including a lot of extra photos not included here) on a late afternoon.

The process was pretty much basic. The only equipment used apart from the iPhone 4S was the Apple Headsets with Remote whic were helpful when taking multiple photos while touch-focusing to regulate the amount of light needed, without allowing the camera to re-autofocus or without the need to lock the focus.
HDR was enabled full time, adequate memory space was essential too due to this as 2 photos are saved for each taken.
For post-processing, the option was to use a minimum amount of treatment as to reduce the risk of making the images too complicated but yet not very plain. So all photos were treated to the same chosen filter that's uniform, although there are severaral tweaks done to some to enhance the effect. Almost every image has recieved individual treatment of its own to create the required effect.
