3D print your own Tower of Babel

As part of the SE exhibition ' Storage 2013 ' at the Design Museum Denmark , Philip Bro shows the 3D print project 'BABEL' .
There are two 'BABEL' sets exhibited. Each set consists of 20 boxes and can be stacked on top of each other to a 2 meter high storage tower. But they also all stored away in the largest of the boxes(16 cm and 28 x 28 cm).
' BABEL ' makes it possible to start commercial production of delicate home objects using 3D print very soon.
The project is produced in cooperation with Fredericia Furniture and Damvig Develop.
All boxes have a number. Each number is engraved in a unique language and with different alphabets. The smallest box has number one - written in Yiddish.
Hopefully 'BABEL' boxes will soon be available for purchase as unique items printed in a nice Fredericia quality. The vision is that 3D files also can be downloaded for home printing. Here the quality will however depend on one's 3D printer.
