Invisible Aliens
A series created when I was living in Singapore. The city-state relies on a large migrant workforce to maintain it's economy. These 'guest workers' are employed in blue collar jobs such as construction, civic maintenance and domestic services.
The use of the Star Wars stormtrooper motif is a metaphor for the anonymity and lack of status endured by these workers.
Their contribution to the smooth functioning of the state is undervalued and unrecognised.
