Food Lovers' Republic
Food Lovers' Republic is a program by Hornsby Shire and Willoughby City Council, and I drew lots of cute foods for them. The purpose of the site is to educate people to not waste food through a series of online tutorials. On completion of said tutorials, you get a little prize. Yay, prizes!
I did some illustrations for the site—to try and give it some character and bring it to life. It's also done in a different style to what I use to illustrate in. Rather cutesy and hipster-ish, which is now my main style of illustration pretty much.
Sketches
I only did a few rough initial sketches for this project. Timings were pretty tight, as per usual. But there wasn't any real need to sketch every single illustration anyway. As they all re-use a lot of assets between one another.
Good project this. It was one of the first projects I did at Digital Eskimo and the start of my current style of illustration. At the end of the day, it feels natural for me to draw in this style, which is a good thing.
So there you go, a nice happy ending. I love a happy ending me. All kinds.
