The purpose of this project is to teach someone about a specific typeface, in this case Adobe Caslon Pro, who designed it, when it was designed, its characteristics, and how to identify it. Graphic design professionals are expected to recognize a number of typefaces. Therefore, we started off by classifying the major categories of historical type classification: Old Style, Transitional, Modern, Slab Serif, and Sans Serif. At Random, we chose our typeface and set out to research. Our research consists of a thousand words, which includes the history of the font, history of the world, biography of the font designer, and a bibliography. After multiple explorations and revisions, we present our two typeface posters and the process of how we ended there.
