These cards were made to showcase a font family as it may be seen in an advertisement for the font, showcasing the variations of the font. I chose Century Schoolbook. I liked the simple, readability of it. It also carried a bit of charm and nostalgia from the standardized tests back in grade school. The final product was meant for print and was a test in 3-color prints.
These cards were made in Adobe Illustrator and features an cover with the letters in "century" stacked in to mimic the shape of an apple, a short biography of the creator of the font Linn Boyd Benton and Morris Benton. Then two variations of the fonts and they were layed out to resemble those same questions asking which font variation is being displayed.
