An illustration for a gallery expo at Imbold Gallery. The central theme was romanian folkore and my submission is inspired by ”the day of the thief”, an obscure traditional romanian holiday on November 11th. On this day, the people who've been stolen from pray to Saint Menas that the thieves will be caught and their belongings returned and the thieves pray to Saint Menas so that he'll help them avoid being caught. I wanted to work this into the illustration while also using traditional romanian masks for the characters and just making it fun.
