The city of Venice is renowned for its architecture and cobbled, winding streets. On this day in Venice as the Venetians went about their daily life, I saw a different side. I saw people being brought home from hospital by ambulance, packages being delivered by DHL, Interflora delivering flowers and Hearses going to the cemetary and of these by boat or barge, everything arrives and leaves by the lagoon. This was all happening under thick fog and its a wonder how they navigate not just each other but all the posts too. In this series I tried to capture the sense of mystery and the dense atmosphere, using long exposures which calmed the mood whilst adding to the otherworldiness.
