Archeon is an archeological living museum in Alphen aan den Rijn, the Netherlands, which opened in 1994. It brings the past to life in various historical settings from various historical periods of Dutch history (such as the Stone Age, the Roman times and the Medieval period) with reenactors playing the parts of people from those times. Archeon is host to several festivals such as the Midsummer Fair, the Midwinter Fair and the Roman Festival.
