Flushing History is a book I wrote, took photographs for, designed, printed, and bound. It is about Admirals' Row, a group of historic houses in the Brooklyn Navy Yard that are at the center of a controversy over their preservation. There are plans to replace them with a large supermarket. The text is accompanied by recent photographs of the houses, which have been left to decay for decades. The captions to the photos are quotes about the houses from historical sources such as the Brooklyn Daily Eagle newspaper. The book is printed on a speckled off-white paper for the interior pages and a metallic stock for the cover. It has a half dust jacket printed on the interior stock.
