Flower shop Les Fleurs du mal

The task was to create a identity design for alternative flower shop called Les Fleurs du mal.
Charles Bauderlaire was a French Poet and his most famous work is Les Fleurs du mal (Flowers of Evil). The volume of poetry was first published in 1857 and the subject matter of the poems deals with themes relating to decadence and eroticism. His work was important in the symbolist and modernist movement in Paris during the 19th century.
I took inspiration from the dark and gloomy as well as growth and life. I also took inspiration from prickles to give the letters a spiky feeling as from "evil flowers".
I wanted the lines - the life in the letters move random to give a more organic feeling.
