Theme parks or bust!
We were assigned to pick out favorite state to visit and create postcards, slipcase for the postcards, and poster for the area. Florida was chosen since designing postcards for the different theme parks would be really fun. The style which was chosen for the overall look was to resemble designer Alphonse Mucha. I very much enjoy all his design and thought it would be interesting and challenging to see how I could pull off the design elements he created in his work, in mine.
The postcards are each from a different theme park and a famous icon from each represented on the front- Universal Studios (Terminator 3D ride), Sea World (Shamu the Killer Whale), Islands of Adventure (Harry Potter), and Walt Disney World (Cinderella and Prince Charming). The backs of the postcards tell a short bio about the character/ride that is showcased on the front.
Also, the poster reflects that of the Walt Disney postcard and the text is just replaced by "Florida".
The slipcase was hand made and folded.
