- This kitchen chair is made from salvaged white oak strip flooring. Beautiful in old houses, but of no value at all for salvage. This material usually goes unrecovered because of the huge amount of labour to remove, de-nail, plane, lay again, sand sand sand, finish then sand, finish then sand, finish. Plus it's to narrow to be reused for much other than flooring. I set out to find a way to work with this materialThis chair is the result so far:
