Flocking and Falling - A Visual Narrative

As part of an assignment for a course titled 'Visual Narratives', we were meant to choose one of Ahmedabad's six bridges and weave a unique narrative around it.

Sardar Bridge, one of the oldest bridges here, has gained infamy for its association with a large number of suicides in the city.

We chose to create a composition of silhouettes (paint and paper construction) to depict the relationship between a man and the birds that flock to the bridge. The sequence shows him moving from feeding the birds on the bridge to falling/having jumped into the water and eventually being rescued.
