These illustrations feature a style I have dubbed “flat factory”. It connects crazy contraptions and machines together on a two-dimensional plane. All of the elements in the factory need to give the illusion that they are working together.
M.I.A. – The brief for this illustration was to use the flat factory style in a portrait. The components of the factory needed to follow the contours of the face.
Jennifer Lawrence - The brief for this illustration was to expand on the flat factory portrait by utilizing a slightly different style. None of the elements of the portrait overlap and the final illustration has no elements with outlines.
Girl Flat Factory Portrait - The brief for this illustration was to add more definition in the face through the placement of the individual elements and the use of color.
Jesse Pinkman – The brief for this illustration was to create another flat factory portrait. The difference was to jumble the elements of the factory more than previous illustrations.
90's Hip-Hop Soundtrack - The brief for this concept illustration was to create an album cover featuring 90's hip-hop. It needed to include 12 song titles and imagery related to that time period.
