It had been ten years since owner Erinn Berkson had opened her boutique shop in Venica, CA and she was ready to refresh her branding. Since Firefly had grown up, it was time for the logo to grow up with it! Erinn's sense of style is very much a part of the store, so her direction was key in creating the mark. It needed to be clean and versatile, but still have a bit of fun and playfulness, just like the shop itself. The Firefly arrow was a perfect way to express this sensibility and compliment the clean and contemporary logo type. Once the Firefly branding was finished, Erinn started a new venture two doors down called "Kid Firefly". This was a great opportunity to make a complimentary logo that pushed the whimsical nature of the original mark forward with a bright palette and a retro script "Kid".
