The City of Geneva, NY issued an RFP for a new facility that will combine their visitors center and a new boating museum. The beautiful site is located just between the northwest edge of Seneca Lake and routes 5&20. I proposed a somewhat unorthodox design, since the building would stand relatively isolated from adjacent structures. I hope it captures some of the styling of maritime designs, while allowing the craftsmanship to stand out from the environment. It also provides a unique opportunity to create a tourist beacon from both the lake and the road.
