My name is Marian Uhrin. I was born in 1984 in the city of Kosice in Slovak Republic, where I lived until I was 20 years old. Since I was a child I was interested in fine arts, mostly painting. When I was thirteen years old, I started a graffiti crew with couple of my friends. I wanted to present my work to the public, so then graffiti and street art became an integral part of my life till I moved to Prague, a city that I`m living in till today.


It was the new era of my life and many other aspects such as exploring new place, experience, joy, but also disappointment, that led me to the photography in 2008. I needed to open up to the world and the possibility to speak through the image was with no doubt the best replacement of graffiti. So photographing became the main means of expression and an important part of my existence. I have never been studying photographic arts as such, I am an autodidact.


My creation is focused on images in which I can realize my imaginations, dreams and emotions... I escape reality through photographing, I hide myself and visit places that are the closest to me. I recycle the reality and capture that small fraction of the time that makes me forget the present. My creation is not a true picture of reality, but it exists in certain ways.


I am a member of a PCW Praha photoclub (common exhibitions), a moderator of an "art photography" section at the photographic server photoextract.com. I got series of small awards in various photo competitions. Read Less
