This is part of my goal of 2011 which was to create some new design, illustration, or sketch everyday.(I post it on my design blog http://joebarondesign.blogspot.com) I sketched out the face and I wanted to work in Photoshop instead of Illustrator. I wanted to keep the face simple, so it stood out among the rest of the piece. I decided to
work with shapes and I felt splatter could make for an interesting
element in this illustration. Even though I used splatter in this
design, I still feel as though the white background still makes this
image clean, because the simplicity of the face. . The focal point was obviously the
face, but I think the diamond in the background and the glimpse of the
circle adds a nice a touch. If I even wanted to put this on a t-shirt it
is already separated and I placed it on a mockup to see what it would look like.
