After noticing farm kids being grouped in with cowboys and cowgirls, the owners of Farm Boy decided to fill this gap in the market by creating Farm Boy and Farm Girl Brand. The brand quickly took off, and became in need of additional designers. I spent almost two years at Farm Boy as the third member of the three person design team. While there, I had the oppurtunity to work on a huge assortment of items including: belt buckles, cut & sew garments, baseball caps, denim, bi-annual catalog, photo shoots, etc. I enjoyed designing print artwork, but I have to say the best part was creating applique artwork. The attention to detail involved in picking everything from the fabric type to thread color was such a joy, even though it was a lot of work.
