Faces in mosaic
Using the smallest scraps of salvaged stained glass, I carefully select and cut pieces, using hue and value to create shadow and light.  The result is a playful twist on portraiture.  Like impressionism, when you look closely, you see only bits of odd-shaped glass.  But further away, the image comes together, revealing expression, energy and personality.
