Description
FTSOO Fairtrade Clothing is about people, giving, justice and hope. The T-shirt designs are created to have a purpose: to speak for those who can not speak for themselves, and encourage people to take action.
  • FTSOO FAIRTRADE CLOTHING
    Honours Implementation
  • Thesis Abstract:
In todays society we are bombarded with T-shirt designs (walking billboards) that have no other purpose than to look cool. This implementation is based on the voice of New Zealand's 14-25 year olds; everything from the design style, the T-shirt messages, right through to the colour/neck shape of the T-shirt.

FTSOO means 'For the Sake of Others'. The clothing label places importance on PEOPLE, GIVING, JUSTICE, and HOPE. This will be launched within the next year or two.

  • FTSOO is targeted at 14-25 year olds. The logo is designed with a modern look to capture the buyers attention.
  • This T-shirt illustration was inspired by a 15 year old New Zealand Female who has a passion for setting people free from the chains which bind them.
  • 'Interweaving the masses'
  • This is another way for the label to promote itself, but also to encourage others to use what is in their hands for the sake of others; e.g. talents
  • The idea behind this illustration is to make people think about what is happening in the world, and in their lives; being aware and responding to what they see.
  • Photoshoot was taken on a farm with an old shed located in Wanganui, New Zealand.
  • Swing Tag: Both males and female have their own swing tag because it makes it easier to tell the difference when on clothing rack.
  • Promo Poster
  • Zine: Created to be a update/promo item for FTSOO; covering what fair trade is, what the label is about etc.
  • Inside Zine: Shows new range of T-shirt designs
  • Digital file of swing tag.
