This was a project that was very sacred to me. Forkast is a company I created from the ground up, branded and showcased at the Graphic Design Senior Show at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Spring of 2013. The theme was 'Emotive,' which was entirely about creating an emotional experience for the customer and capturing their attention by triggering positive emotions.
Forkast was created for customers to feel the satisfaction of helping the environment by being sustainable - all while indulging in their favorite comfort foods. The menus as Forkast are entirely based on what foods we crave in very weather-specific conditions. By using this approach, Forkast prevents food from being wasted under their roof. In doing so, they are also informing and helping others learn more about the food waste epidemic and how they can make a positive impact. Instead of shoving the 'eco-friendly' trend down peoples throats or guilt tripping them into making the right decision for our environment, Forkast shows how being sustainable can be not only exciting, but also very simple!
