FINALIST proposal: new concepts for shopping centres Bartcelona.org Design Edition
We live in a time where the virtual world is overcoming the real, and in which information, services, products and even relationships are sought on the web. The human being has become a proto-consumer and isn't only seeking to satisfy needs, but also new experiences and possibilities.
The proposal is based on the concept of 'service design'. Knowing the needs of each user, their behavior and expectations, we can find solutions and the shopping experience becomes competitive, different, special and definitely easy (user-friendly).
Using today's technology, through systems such as 'augmented reality' and QR codes, the mall becomes a social network where the shopping experience is customized according to the options of each one.
A system of internal transport for shopping bags is also proposed, speeding movement of people and products, as well as decreases the amount of bags needed and is more environmentally friendly.
For shopping centres the service offered is superior in quality and optimizes the interaction with its users. Result: more customers satisfied with the experience.
